Sidereal Days (Day 2) is the second album released from the two-album set that includes Sidereal Days (Day 1) and Sidereal Days (Day 2). The (Day 1) album was released on October 25th, 2025. The (Day 2) album was released on September 25th, 2026.

The (Day 2) album includes a 4-Panel CD Wallet and 16-Page Lyric Book with illustrations by Artist, Anna Berman and photography by the album's Co-Producer, Neilson Hubbard.

Renowned Critic Robert Christgau, gives the Sidereal Days (Day 2) album a “B+” rating, in his “And It Don’t Stop – Consumer Guide for September 2026” and former Village Voice Critic, Tom Hull, in his “On The Web - Music Review: September Archive In Progress for 9/12/26,” gives it an “A.”

Tom Hull says, “…Robert Christgau posted his Consumer Guide: September 2026. I broke this down into four lists: 1. Albums I hadn’t heard… 2. Albums I’ve heard that he likes more than I do… 3. Albums I’ve heard that I like more than he does: Jeff Evans Porkestra (A− vs. ★), Bill Scorzari (A vs. B+), Vince Staples (A− vs. ★). 4. Albums I’ve heard where we’re pretty close… … But group 3 bothers me more, because I’ve spent enough time with those albums to rate them higher. ...the Scorzari mismatch is the one I find unfathomable. I reviewed the album a couple weeks ago, but I didn’t include it on Substack because it wasn’t out yet. It’s out today, so I wanted to show it off here. It’s currently my number two album of 2026..." - Tom Hull, "On The Web, Music Week (9:4) A few select reviews from week 4 of month 9 (September 25, 2025)"

Both Christgau and Hull give the Sidereal Days (Day 1) album an “A” rating. "…speaking very generally I’d mention my special attraction to what over the years I’ve come to call for the sake of brevity ‘good albums’…28. Tyler Childers: Snipe Hunter & nbsp; (RCA), 29. Amanda Shires: Nobody’s Girl (ATO), …43. Bill Scorzari: Sidereal Days (Day 1) (self‑released) …51. Peter Stampfel, Friends & Daughters: Song Shards (Jalopy)…56. Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts: Talkin to the Trees (Reprise)..." -And It Don't Stop / Dean's List: 2025 - The 61 best albums of last year (or so), by Robert Christgau May 07, 2026

Here’s what influential writer, John Apice says in his 9/23/26 review for Americana Highways: "... If America has a fatherly sound, it’s probably people like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Woody Guthrie & in the charred artistic voice of Bill Scorzari (vocals/acoustic & electric guitars/mandolin/banjo). The NY-based singer-songwriter offers his 6th… [studio album] – 2nd in a series of 2 – Sidereal Days (Day 2) (Drops September 25/ Independent/53:32). Self-produced with Neilson Hubbard (drums/percussion) & recorded in Huntington, NY & Nashville, TN, the 11 tracks are superbly pensive, troubadour sharp, & what’s especially notable is Bill’s ability to conjure storylines relatable to listeners’ mental acuity & not just their toes, feet & hips. Bill has a Kris Kristofferson ideal set in his rural lyrical alchemy, Tim Hardin finesse, & Guy Clark edginess. All patched together into Bill’s imagery, laced with cinnamon melodies. Splendid on “So Much To Say on Rainy Days” & “That’s a Good Thing.” Stylistically, on some songs, like “Middle Class Middle Child,” there are shards of Jon Dee Graham & for some reason certain songs & performances need that kind of vocal edge, growl, that rusty sparkle on the iron. It adds the authenticity that a more polished voice lacks. ... The most spirited song is “Time Is a River Now,” with its strong, soulful backup singers & well-accentuated lead guitar. You can’t say Bill can’t rock. The evidence is here... "

And here’s what veteran Roots, Americana, Folk, Country and Bluegrass writer, Donald Teplyske of Fervor Coulee (Edmonton / Alberta Canada) says in his 9/21/26 review: “Containing songs going back more than a decade, Bill Scorzari’s Sidereal Days (Day 2) (pronounced SIGH-DEER-ee-uhl Dayz) is the companion to Sidereal Days (Day 1) released last autumn. Like all Scorzari albums I’ve encountered (The Crosswinds of Kansas, Now I’m Free, Through These Waves), the songs encourage listeners to absorb their depth and truly unique presentation without distraction: imagine that, an album that encourages us to put aside the electronics and actually listen. While obviously songs, I tend to approach Scorzari’s compositions as miniature pieces of vocal and poetic theatre. And… they do contain thematic bonds unifying their performance—our interconnectedness, our community and reliance on each other as we seek meaning within our shared bonds. And our fragility within these relationships. … Just when one settles on a song as a highlight, the next song comes along and requires you to reconsider what the term means because each and every song is a highlight if one allows it to be—if you know what I mean, and I hope you do. Individual lines from songs tend to linger… All… delivered in Scorzari’s talking-roots ‘n blues manner, reminiscent of troubadours through these recent decades: John Prine, Sam Baker, John Stewart, Otis Gibbs, Ray Wylie Hubbard to name a few. …If you dig the mentioned artists, if you are looking for someone quite a few steps away from the gloss of the “Americana” mainstream, if you are craving roots music that offers lasting appeal, I highly recommend Bill Scorzari’s Sidereal Days (Day 2).”

“Containing songs going back more than a decade, Bill Scorzari’s Sidereal Days (Day 2) (pronounced SIGH-DEER-ee-uhl Dayz) is the companion to Sidereal Days (Day 1) released last autumn.

And, more...

“…As luck would have it, Scorzari wound up with a defining moment on the second installment of an ambitious double album. Due September 25, the self-released Sidereal Days (Day 2) completes an expansive musical statement kicked off last fall with Sidereal Days (Day 1)… richly detailed, poetic style.”  —Magnet Magazine, Hobart Rowland

“Scorzari very much encompasses the heart and the spirit of the great singer-songwriters. He is supremely focused on his words and the craftsmanship of the music, examining the human condition with his distinctive voice...The arrangements are all passionate and moving, and work very well when meshed together… Intimate and wide-ranging, Sidereal Days (Day 2), just like Sidereal Days (Day 1), finds Scorzari, the songwriter, functioning at an elite level.” —V13, Aaron Willschick

“Bill can always be counted on to write the most heartfelt lyrics in the place. ['I Stayed'] is about that feeling of being strung along in a relationship, and trying to find either a solution or the way out: ‘I didn’t throw small words your way. I was faithful and true to your dreams each day, and I didn’t turn and go. I stayed. I stayed. I stayed.’ The harmony vocals by Erin Rae are a superlatively nice touch.” —Americana Highways, Melissa Clarke

“We find Bill Scorzari in a more upbeat and tranquil mood, with ‘Open Door’ being a folky love song featuring traditional acoustic instruments and a vocal duet with Megan McCormick.” —Americana UK, Jonathan Aird

“Starting quietly on guitar with just a whisper of dobro and pedal steel the mood set is kind of a reflective, everyday kind of hopefulness. The matter-of-fact vocal delivery [in ‘That’s a Good Thing'] matches that tone and conveys a powerful story of heartfelt tenderness about the ups and downs of life… Each song has an engaging musical landscape behind it that is just as compelling as Scorzari’s poignant lyrics.” —Jack Mesenbourg

“By weaving these disparate threads together, Scorzari creates a cohesive narrative that feels intimate yet universal… Across the 11 tracks on Day 2, Scorzari continues his exploration of interconnectedness, often presenting his lyrics as a lived-in conversation with the listener.” —SA Examiner, Sandra Cruz

While Scorzari has completed two coast-to-coast, solo-headline national tours to date, he has also opened for Billy Strings (The Riverwalk Cafe’, Nashua NH, 2017); Big Country (The Paramount Theater  in Huntington, NY, 2014); and Whiskey Meyers (at the former “The Shop” in New York City, 2016). Other performances of note include AmericanaFest (2016), Newport Folk Festival (2019), in the “For Pete’s Sake” program curated by Chris Funk of The Decemberists, and more.

Another recent milestone is having Del McCoury cover “Treat Me Kind” from Bill’s 2019 Now I’m Free album. Del’s rendition is included on The Del McCoury Band’s album Songs of Love and Life (released June 2024).

Sidereal Days (Day 1)  & (Day 2) are both now available in CD, Digital and Streaming formats.
